A group of Vampires living in the modern-day world. Several, Edwin Aldemeer included, are centuries old.

Edwin is a member of the elite warrior class of vampires who protects a council of elders that acts as the governing body for these creatures.

He is ruthless, cunning, intelligent and has never been defeated in battle.

Althea Adams is a recently turned daughter of Marcus Grigory Ignatius whose bloodlines run back to Roman times. Marcus is an Ancient. His power knows no bounds.

Humans are mortal enemies of the Realm. The Code does not allow for any fraternization. The penalty is death for all concerned.

Althea has learned of a young vampire who has fallen in love with a human female.

Dispatching Edwin is the council’s solution to eliminate these disobedient rebels.
